Herald Cancer Association Houston (HCAH) is a non-profit social service organization under the auspices of an international organization, Chinese Christian Herald Crusades. HCAH is also a sister organization of the Herald Cancer Association in Los Angeles and Herald Care –Cancer Ministry in the Bay area of California . HCAH was established in October of 2006. Its mission is to provide multifaceted cancer-related support and education for the Houston ’s Chinese American community. The goals consist of enhancing the prevention and early detection of cancer, as well as improving the quality of life of cancer patients and their families. Through its collaboration with other cancer related organizations, HCAH intends to be the bridge between mainstream cancer organizations and the Chinese community by bringing the vast amount of knowledge-based resources and services to the underserved Chinese Community here in Houston. Our service is provided to all regardless of religion, or social background.

       HCAH objectives are a few of the following: arranging free or low-cost cancer screenings, increase cancer awareness and/or knowledge through distribution of Chinese literature and public education to enhance the prevention and early detection of cancer. Through our patient services, monthly cancer support groups, and advocacy and participation in research programs, we aim to minimize suffering and improve the quality of life of cancer patients and their families.
